A fundamental aim for City businesses is to increase the percentage of women in senior positions.

At Ad Idem, we understand that for this to happen, there is an immediate need to introduce a more agile, flexible working environment. As specialist recruiters in this space, a core business ethos is to further this process with the presentation of balanced shortlists whereby the best candidates for the job are put forward. Most importantly, they are put forward regardless of gender or circumstances that took them out of the corporate world.

Why Ad Equality?

Ad Equality hasn’t been created to give women preferential treatment, rather a fair platform to be considered for senior roles and to encourage those returning to work that their skill sets are both relevant and welcomed despite a period away. Additionally, we help businesses train and mentor line managers in how to attract such talent, many of whom are reluctant to get back to work fearing a lack of support in the areas of flexible hours, remote working, career mentoring and a supportive working environment.

Every situation is different and together we’ll come up with a solution that works for all parties. Recent placements include two women in a job-share where both perform a three-day week and the client gets full role coverage for six days instead of five for the same cost; agile working with two days from home for a Finance Manager and a ‘Big Four’ Financial Controller placed with a listed business after three years out of the corporate world to raise a family.

What We Do

Ad Equality runs quarterly networking breakfasts for City-based female (and male) executives where we meet in an inclusive, supportive environment where ideas are shared, best practise discussed and mentoring partnerships forged.

You’ll hear interesting and informative talks on a variety of relevant topics as well as stories of what works (and what doesn’t) in the constant juggling act that is our life/work balance.

We have partnered with Women in the City, an organisation that promotes, recognises and rewards female talent and we also have access to some of the most innovative and passionate women in the City. These are the women who are committed to making sure that we redress the balance, who want to increase quotas of gender-equal employment and who want to see us all in FTSE100 boardrooms!

We’ve also partnered with the WoMo Network, offering support and advice for working women.

It’s All About YOU

We’re not doing this half-heartedly. We want you to recognise what we do and be a part of it. We’re here for you to reassure you, to listen to what you’re saying and to help you get to where you deserve to be.
